By accessing or using StepUp Tutorials, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the platform.

§1 About StepUp

StepUp Tutorials is an online platform that allows users to create, share and discover step-by-step tutorials across home improvement, cooking, gardening, car repair and more.

The platform is operated by StepUp Tutorials, registered in Germany, and accessible at stepuptutorials.com. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users and content creators.

§2 Account & Registration

To create an account and use the full features of StepUp, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Keep your account credentials secure and not share them
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

§3 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use StepUp to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, harassing or fraudulent
  • Infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
  • Post affiliate links or sponsored content without a Premium subscription
  • Use automated tools, bots or scrapers to access the platform
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform

§4 Content & Intellectual Property

Content you create remains your intellectual property. By publishing a tutorial, you grant StepUp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, translate, and promote your content within the platform.

This license persists in anonymized form after account deletion: published tutorials are not deleted when you close your account, but are retained as anonymous content on the platform, unless you explicitly request their removal.

  • Tutorials translated by DeepL are labeled as machine-translated on the platform
  • StepUp claims no ownership of translated versions of your content
  • You may request the removal of translations by contacting us

§5 Administrator Rights & Content Moderation

StepUp platform administrators reserve the right to:

  • Edit, correct or remove tutorial content that violates these Terms or applicable law
  • Edit or correct translations of tutorials generated by DeepL to improve accuracy or compliance
  • Remove, hide or flag comments, ratings or interactions that are abusive or fraudulent
  • Suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate platform rules

Moderation actions are taken in good faith and in accordance with applicable law. Users may appeal decisions by contacting us at [email protected].

§6 Creator Affiliate Links

Some tutorials on our platform may contain affiliate links added independently by the tutorial creators. If you click such links and make a purchase, the creator may receive a commission. StepUp Tutorials is not involved in these commissions and receives no revenue from them.

  • Affiliate links belong to the creators and are added at their own responsibility
  • StepUp Tutorials accepts no liability for the safety, accuracy, or availability of linked products or websites
  • Click and purchase data may be collected by the affiliate program of the respective provider — StepUp has no influence over this
  • Affiliate links are marked as such within the tutorial

We recommend using external links with caution. StepUp is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of linked third-party websites.

§7 Subscriptions & Payments

StepUp offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (Plus and Premium). Payments are processed securely by Mollie, a European payment service provider headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards, PayPal, iDEAL, Bancontact, Klarna and SEPA via Mollie.

§14 Right of Withdrawal

For consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB, the following right of withdrawal applies pursuant to § 312g BGB in conjunction with Art. 246a EGBGB:

Right of Withdrawal

Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the date the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (StepUp Tutorials, [email protected]) by means of a clear statement (e.g. an email) about your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.

Expiry of the right of withdrawal for digital services

The right of withdrawal expires prematurely if StepUp Tutorials has fully performed the service and performance only began after you gave your express consent and at the same time acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal once the contract was fully performed. For digital subscriptions (Plus, Premium): the right of withdrawal expires if you expressly agreed at checkout that performance begins immediately and acknowledged this.

This applies in particular to tutorials covering DIY, technical, medical, legal, or financial topics. We recommend critically evaluating content and consulting professionals where necessary.
